Flea Bath Treatment
A specialized groom designed to relieve itching, irritation, and discomfort caused by fleas. The Flea Bath Treatment kills and removes fleas safely while cleansing the coat of debris, excess oils, and flea dirt left behind on the skin. It’s ideal for cats with mild infestations or those recently treated by a veterinarian who need a deep, thorough clean. Because fleas can cause skin sensitivity and stress, the process is handled gently to soothe the skin and restore comfort. This treatment removes fleas currently on the cat but does not treat the home environment or prevent future infestations, so follow-up care may be needed in coordination with your veterinarian.
Safe Flea Removal
Only cat-safe products are used throughout the Flea Bath Treatment. Each cat is soaked in a feline-safe shampoo, with a tear-free formula used on the face to remove fleas that move upward during bathing. After a full rinse, the process is repeated to ensure every flea, egg, and trace of flea dirt is removed. The shampoo also clarifies the coat, lifting buildup and restoring softness. Once dry, the cat is combed line by line to remove any remaining fleas, and the paw pads and spaces between the toes are checked carefully, as fleas often hide there. The detailed comb-out provides a full de-shedding benefit. Because the process is detailed and intensive, cats are given breaks as needed to prevent distress and keep them comfortable throughout. After each flea treatment, the studio is fully cleaned and disinfected to maintain a safe, hygienic environment. Private appointments prevent cross-contamination and promote a calm, stress-free experience.
All grooms at Catington Cat Grooming are fully inclusive — nails, ears, a bath with two shampoos to lift oils and buildup, stud-tail treatment, gentle blow-dry, sanitary shave, paw-pad shave, and light trimming of pant legs or chest fur if desired.
